Ive been using this app almost since I bought my iPhone and I love it, i just noticed after the last update few days ago the compass dosent work, but overall its a great app, thanks.

For $2 the compass should work!

Compass does not work. Nor does the GPS locator, although this works with other apps so it not the devise. You cannot select locations in the database to add to My Locations, you have to create them. I should have stuck with somebody elses free app. Waste of a couple bucks!

Nothing is best

This app is comprehensive and well designed, and does everything I want it to. However, there is one big flaw: the compass readings are off by 90°. It shows North as West and West as South, etc... I see that there are other complaints about this already, and hope they fix it soon. For the pro version of the app this is not okay.

The lite version pretty much would have covered my needs. App not formatted for iPhone 5 and above.

Superb graphics and precise timing. Get this Pro version over the free and youll be blown away when you experience the upgrades.

I can not agree with the previous reviewers enough- this app is well worth the $2 and the graphics are such a wonderful added touch! The date selection interface matches the iPhones Calander which is also cool. Well worth the upgrade, the graphic illustrating the suns position in the sky for a given time and location is indeed brilliant and definitly worth the dollar upgrade. Although I am not sure how the tiny town of Berryville VA is in there when Ashburn isnt but oh well BOTH towns on either side of Ashburn are included so there you go. Note to programmer: well done and thank you for adding the instructions on how to read the position graphic for the sun on the " about" page!

Best spent 2 dollars in the entire App Store. Does what it says it does and does it cleanly. I hope the developers add a moon graphic, azimuth and inclination - that would be really helpful for photographing moonrises. Job well done.

App does what it suppose to. I deer hunt and this will be very helpful knowing sunset from day to day. A update with moon rise and fall would make a perfect 5 star.

My prayers are answered. This in comination with Suuntos tandem and we are good to go....much more simple to use than the Helios software IMO ....thanks guys!!!!

Great app! Use it several times a week to determine how much outdoor work I can accomplish. Is it possible to add phases of moon, moon rise and set so I dont have to get another app?

Fine for the numbers, but compass integration is incomplete. Sun should move with compass. At least compass should have numerical scale. Azimuths for rise/set should be added. This important for photographers!

Fix the sun position on the compass! It wont correctly position until you switch screens

Handy app to have, but can we please lose the ugly "PRO" on the icon? Let the "LITE" free version deal with the ugly, but its not really necessary on both. Please! Honestly, if it wasnt for that single aesthetic flaw I would have gone for all 5 stars. As promised. upgraded to FIVE STARS! Thanks.

This app works well, but you need to set the date manually. Other apps know what date it is -- why not this one?

Gives the basic information about sunrise/sunset times. Also twlight and transit times but not much else. I also like the compass feature and the way you can change the time of day my moving the slider. I found it hard to add multiple location to the main screen. The only way I could figure out how to do it is by manually enteing the data such as longitude and latitude. Even though there is an extensive database of locations I couldnt figure out an easy way to load multiple locations. You can also customize the photo on the main screen but it will change youir picture from portrait to landscape view.

Does everything advertised. For the price Id like moon info too. With this it gets 5 stars

This is a sweet app! I have an iPod, and when I first turned on the app, it couldnt find my location and then didnt change the display to show the data for the city I selected. However, after reopening the app, everything displayed perfectly. I live north of the Arctic Circle, so this is the perfect tool to help plan my activities or just for the fun of it. The location database is huge with locations all over the world, and you can make a custom list of locations to easily scroll through. The compass page showing suns azimuth and incidence is fabulous. I can think of so many reasons to have this. The slider bar for time of day is cool too, especially up here to see how the sun moves around the horizon in summer. Well worth my $1.99.
